kinds of weather in the different season, so you need to know the right
season for your trekking, expedition, rafting, jungle safari, mountain
flight and sightseeing etc.
Winter
(December-January-February)
The winter period is marked by low temperature and heavy snowfall in
the highest region of the himalayas. High pass and the airstrips used
for access are often blocked for long periods, but below 4000 meters
trekking is still possible. This season is also good for jungle safari,
sightseeing and mountain flight.
Spring
(March-April-May)
This is one of the best season for trekking, expeditions, white water
rafting, jungle safari, sightseeing and mountain flights in all parts
of Nepal and India too. The foothills are beautiful with rhododendrons
and other different wild flowers in bloom, and with clear views of the
mountains. Temperature are moderate to warm.
Summer
(June-July-August)
Although the monsoon rains affect large areas of the Indian and Nepalese
foothills, this is a good time to trek in those regions of the Himalayan
divide, such as Mustang, Dolpa, Simikot (in Nepal), Lhe Ladak (in India),
Mt. Kailash and othe different parts in Tibet.
Autumn
(September-October-November)
The autumn season is one of the most pleasure for the trekking, expeditions,
white water rafting, jungle safari, sightseeing, mountain flights in
Nepal and India. It is also a good season to trek in Tibet especially
round holy Mt. Kailash, roof of the world Lhasa and Different parts
of Tibet with clear views of the mountains. Temperature will be moderate
in the low country, but crisp at night as you gain altitude.
